The NDIS is Australia’s national disability support program. It helps people with disability get the supports they need to live a good life, be more independent, and take part in their community. The NDIS gives people choice and control over the services they use.
The NDIS was launched by the Australian Federal Government in 2013.
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is responsible for rolling out the scheme Australia-
wide. Local Area Coordinators help create and review plans. Early Childhood Partners support children under 9.
